Young people's lives transformed through camp experiences.

We work alongside established CCNZ camping providers, churches and local community organisations throughout Aotearoa, helping them to become stronger together and support young people in their communities.  We know the transformational impact of young people attending camps, connecting with great role models, challenging themselves on new activities, gaining confidence through teamwork and building lasting relationships.  Young people also learn leadership skills as well as gaining opportunities to serve and lead in the camp contexts.  In addition to the great lessons learned through camp experiences young people also need ongoing community and support structures. That’s where our wider community of churches, youth groups, agencies and community groups come in. 

We enable schools, social workers, churches and youth workers to nominate young people who may be marginalised, struggling at school, disadvantaged, or need support. We sponsor these nominated young people to camps where they have great experiences and build lasting relationships while gaining confidence.  Through our community networks, we see many of these young people get connected and gain support in their own community after camp. This may involve subsidised counselling, local youth events, connection to local youth group programmes, or family support.
